DC had a big drop in population in the past 2 years, I expect that to accelerate.

It was one thing to tolerate DC crime before I was a parent and when DC was cheap to live in. Now, the calculus looks different. Then much crime was after dark, now carjackings by kids with guns can and does happen in broad daylight. My CVS store has lost a lot of staff, one manager had his jaw broken by robbers. The basic fabric of society is rended when safety and order are not prioritized. [/quote]
I agree with the thrust of your points. However, I read the article and that was an affordable senior facility in Ward 3. City Ridge on the other hand will be a big problem for Deal and Wilson.[/quote] 900 units in Woodley Park, 100 to be low income. The development on Western is on the grounds of a senior housing facility, not necessarily more senior housing. And more dense housing is planned for Tenley, all of the above will impact Deal and Wilson. [/quote]
