But the thing is, the people who are dying are the ones who believed the lies and were gaslit.  Who do you think the real perpetrator is? Who do you think is feeling “shame” from these posts and therefore being motivated to change their ideology? Do you actually know any people who have gone down the maga wormhole? I do, many. Some of them were good people, years ago. They have [i]not[/i] been gaslit, they have chosen hate, blame, to put their feelings above everyone else’s. They have made this decision consciously, over and over and over. They have felt a soothing surge of adrenaline - and yes, to get that little boost does soothe people after a time, like a drug - when they’ve listened to their favorite talking head mock a woman or a minority or Chelsea Clinton or whoever.

Do not deny them agency. It’s not like their friends and family haven’t tried to put evidence, reality, the truth in front of them, and they have smacked it down. I don’t know if this story is accurate; she says to DM her for proof.
