Ending wrapped too nicely for me. The gun was missing for a very brief time and the owner realized it just during those few hours? They should have just said the gun was missing bullets. The boy failed to have any real tears. Mare and her BFF now bond over each Losing a child. Very sad. The friend’s life is a disaster now. Poor thing.
no, the gun was missing longer I think. Lori put it back and Mare covered for her. Never explicitly said.
No, the son said he put the gun back. You see a flashback of him doing so and it’s still night. He did it the same night bc he was talking sequentially.
I need to re-watch. The old guy said it was missing, and then showed back up. I don't think that timeline makes sense. In the interview, Mare asked "what made you think to do that" in a way that made me think that she did not believe that chronology. Then at the end of the interview, she asked if there was anything else. When did Mare delete the recordings? Was that before or after that night?
I think she asked what made him think to do that to find out if someone had advised him to do so. I agree it was a sad old ending. But the plot was also riddled with holes like a fricking Gouda cheese. What teen girl takes a selfie of herself in bed with a man and prints it off - ? prints it on what? And Erin's character was completely inconsistent throughout. And why did her BF chase down her friend and threaten her with a gun? And why did Carrie suddenly go back on drugs? We knew she couldn't cope with being a responsible parent when she was just tired - that was enough for her to give up custody, we didn't need her back on drugs. And CPS would never unless hell froze over allow Lori to raise her husband's kid when her other kid killed it's mother - hello? No, that is a high risk situation that would NEVER HAPPEN. Disappointed is right.
