I thought it was weird too and clearly intentional, but then I also thought, boat walkways are really narrow? Maybe he was just like finishing the single file part so he could turn around and face her? Idk it was definitely weird.

I thought of the narrow pathway too, but he didn’t look back once to check on her. He just plowed ahead. Very odd.

You should watch again. He walked ahead the whole way but turned back toward her multiple times, helped her down two sets of stairs etc. Only one person can fit on a gangplank. He walked down then waited for her at the bottom. I thought their reunion was very sweet. [/quote]
