I’m also curious if the design center costs are in addition to the price sheets provided (which include electrical and cabinetry)?
That will be a separate cost, at least from my experience. I’m really flabbergasted by all these high costs at the design center and the options people are adding on—when we went through the process of a new build, no where near these add-ons. To each their own, but for anyone interested in the neighborhood but not wanting to spend as much as the numbers being thrown around on here, want to stress in no way do you have to spend anywhere close to 100k at a design center for a very pretty home. We spent 30k in design center upgrades on our own “luxury neighborhood” home when we built and, when we sold two years ago, had a cash offer two days after listing. Seriously, to each their own, but folks shouldn’t feel priced out going off of these numbers.
Thanks...was your previous home a Toll Brothers? Wonder if design center prices vary significantly between builders. Per the pricing sheet provided, going to level 2 cabinets (bathroom, kitchen, powder room, laundry) is 15k alone, so once you tack on floors, countertops etc, I don’t see how it could be around 30k. I really like the neighborhood, but don’t think I can afford this as it’s adding up fast.
