Token? He's the chairman. I guess Thomas Sowell is another, as is Larry Elder, Walter Williams, and the millions of other black conservatives. There is only one party of slavery, KKK, Jim Crow, segregation, etc. It's the democratic party. Please review actual history and not propaganda and rhetoric.
Then came the 1964 civil rights act where the parties flipped (you'll notice the majority of the Confederate states are red), and Republicans supported Barry Goldwater (a racist). Even a young bright eyed Mitch McConnell didn't support his racist ass. Strom Thurmond another racist switched from the Democrat party and went to the Republicans around that time as well. Why don't you go read a history book before you ever speak again. The first amendment doesn't give you the right to be ignorant.
Nice try, but way to show your own ignorance. Your beloved confederate states were all blue back then. The parties flipped? Nice Dem talking point, but since you're the expert what did LBJ say about having a certain group voting Democrat for the next 200 years? 91 Dems, 35 Rep voted against. 156 Dems and 135 Rep for. Hmmm
Omg you are obtuse and reading some right wing propaganda about how you are so reasonable opposing the modern day “Democrat Party”, right?? So if 1950s Southern Democrats are right in step with the modern day Democratic Party, there should be no issue with flipping the Senate blue right?? All those current day Republicans misunderstand their party’s platform! Gun control and abolish slavery!
And we're back, I like how multiple people called you out as being obtuse or just lacking in common sense. Anyway, I'm fully aware that LBJ said I'll have N-words voting for Democrat for the next 200yrs. Everyone knows that LBJ was a racist that somehow found himself stuck with JFK's civil rights bill, which he was committed to and got past (and yes I know what he called the 1957 civil rights bill). The more important quote to remember from LBJ is " we have lost the South for a generation," he said after signing the 1964 civil rights act. He knew that this bill would cause the flip. The same flip that everyone else on DCUM has been asking you to put on your critical thinking cap to understand, or including the Wikipedia link to make it easy for you. Speaking of critical thinking, what party do you think all those Dems who voted against the bill went to? I'll give you a hint Strom Thurmond was one of them. Point of fact he had a record breaking filibuster against the 1957 civil rights bill. The Expert
