I wouldn't say that uMich isn't worried.  They have a lot of plans in the air, just as Notre Dame did.  It remains to be seen what happens.

[b]Stay tuned to what?[/b] You're just fear-mongering. UMich social media is spamming move-in excitement all week. They're not canceling move-in. It's happening and there's nothing to worry about. This virus is sooooo dangerous you have to force college kids to take a test to know they have it.  :roll: All the risk is elderly, almost entirely in senior care facilities.[/quote]

Stay tuned basically means "wait two weeks".  The fact that colleges are moving ahead with letting kids move onto campus in no way means that there's nothing to worry about.  It means the colleges have committed to opening up and are going to try to do it.  But clearly there are people on campus (the professors, to start) who do not think it is a good idea.

The virus is often mild in young adults, or they can be asymptomatic, but yet spread the illness especially in close quarters, which is why students need to be tested before they move in, and frequently thereafter, as college campuses are superspreader locations.

I do expect a major outbreak at UMichigan in 2 weeks.  Stay tuned.[/quote]
