I think the issue is at heart, Kristin is a party girl. When he was playing, she still had exposure to the limelight that she craved when she wanted it. And when he stopped playing, it was still going to be ok because he’d be this famous commentator, like Michael Statham. She’d still have access to the parties and limelight she wanted. Him holing up on the farm and not pursuing broadcasting doesn’t give her the options she wants. And her crap lifestyle brand only offers a smidgen of what he could have given her.

I think there’s also a lot of truth the fact that all this time they are now forced to spend together makes them realize they really don’t like each other. It’s like Navy personnel and their wives. Their relationships are good when the men are gone for 6 months a year. Come retirement a lot of those marriages end because it’s totally different to have a marriage with someone day in and day out, versus one you only see every few days or few months.[/quote]
