They have this level of protection at free events all over town. The Zoo seems to be running neck to neck with the Capitol in terms of acts of violence. Seems like more security procedures would help. What's your quibble with safety for patrons, many of whom are small chidlren?[/quote]

There’s no indication that the level of risk at the zoo is the same as at the Capitol. Why do we need the same level of security there as at one of the most heavily guarded and secured buildings in the world? For that matter, we don’t need the level of security theater they’ve got at all the stadiums in town, either.

I go to the zoo with my small children often. I don’t feel remotely unsafe there. Having heavy security would just be a pain. [/quote]
