He’s definitely not the squeaky clean candidate the Harris campaign would like you to believe: “I'm not saying that Walz lies, precisely," Parker wrote in an op-ed headlined, "Tim Walz isn't exactly what he seems." "But he tends to gild his résumé for political gain." “Waltz has been forced to defend a number of controversies that have emerged following Vice President Harris' announcement that he would be her running mate. In particular, Walz has had to explain his record in the National Guard and his 2006 congressional campaign's statements on his 1995 drunk driving incident.” Also: “ Walz, then a 31-year-old high school teacher, was clocked at 96 mph in a 55-mph zone in Nebraska," Parker wrote. "He was pulled over by a state trooper, who, upon smelling alcohol, asked Walz to take a field sobriety test, which he failed. Walz then submitted to a hospital for a blood test, which revealed his blood alcohol level to be 0.128, well above the state's legal limit." “While that info is verifiable by police records, Walz's 2006 congressional campaign staff told the press that the candidate was not drinking and actually failed to understand the police officer's directions because of hearing loss, blaming an injury relating to his time in the National Guard.” “Morning show softballs may give comfort to the ill-prepared, but they deny viewers the content they need to be better-informed voters," Parker wrote. "Nothing about the pair's first (taped) interview Thursday night, with CNN's Dana Bash, satisfied that imperative. Although Harris handled the interview relatively well, Walz seemed to be a mixed-up mess." https://www.aol.com/tim-walz-gilded-record-political-161023402.html
Who knew Kamala picked a verified drunk driver for our VP?
So Republicans didn't care that President Bush had a DUI and had his license suspended. But they care deeply that Governor Walz was charged with DUI, but did not have his license suspended. Double standard?
Bush was the most shameful R GLOBALIST President in my lifetime. Actually, he was a RINO. So no double standard, my friend. Am guessing (until we know otherwise) that both Bush and Walz are still alcoholics.
Both recognized they had a problem. Bush continued drinking until age 40 when he realized he had a problem. He has not had alcohol since (nearly 40 years). Walz stopped drinking immediately after his DUI and has not had alcohol since. Whether or not either is still an alcoholic, both have recognized they had a problem and stopped drinking. And for both, it has been over 30 years since they last imbibed alcohol.
Evidence?
Seriously? I don't care whether or not Walz has been a teetotaler since his DUI (which was reduced to a lesser charge, plus I'm fairly certain that at the time Nebraska's BAC limit, like many states at the time, would have still been .15, putting him under the legal limit). But by now we would have heard about any alcohol-related bad conduct. George Bush was open about his past alcohol AND drug (cocaine) use, and there were published accounts of his father trying to step in (and his problems continued beyond his DUI at age 30).
