I'll caveat my comments by saying I do not have a player in the hunt and no skin in the game(you can believe me or not...really don't care). It is funny to hear parents here comment on obnoxious parents. Reading the comments throughout the year on this thread, most teams in NoVA qualify for this award. Fairfax parents are constantly whining about everything and they are oozing with a constant feeling of entitlement. Loudoun isn't much better regarding the constant whining with the exception of one team's feeling of entitlement(not Indy btw). Regarding the prior comment, probably more accurate to say best in class for VHSL. Indy did have a weak schedule overall but in the quality games they won, it comes down to a big, physical and aggressive defense that is hard to find any rhythm against. Their ride is no different. Very tough to break and aggressive. For any team to beat them, they will have to control faceoffs and production off of it. Defense has to be aggressive and has to play some sort of zone. They have 5 players that can score at any time. However, they are vulnerable against physicality. At this point, you can say what you want but it is Indy's ship to lose IMHO. Good luck to all the teams headed to States...hosted at Indy/Briar
Same boat as you sir! No boy currently in VHSL, but had one and still follow the board. I could name names, but its not worth it. You are 100% correct, most teams do. I don't mind the annoying parents for the cheering and noisemakers, etc BUT the whining (without knowing the rules) and more specifically the entitlement is out of control. Fairfax is the worst, several Richmond schools and I 100% know which Loudoun school you are talking about. As for Indy, agree most of it. However, I think zone would be a mistake, as they do have outside shooters and will pick you apart. Will hold Indy down but as you fall behind they will most likely make you open up and then pour it on. I think they have about (6 O starters and at least 2 poles) 8+ players who can score on you, when you bring in the poles who seem to just want to come down and shoot. I posted before, this would be the most complete team I have seen this year. Are they unbeatable, no, but my odds on favorite to win it and have been for several weeks now
I keep seeing here that Indy has a weak schedule, when I look at Lax Numbers (which everyone here seems to like) I see that they have the highest SOS? What's the deal?
