I think Carrie should run into Berger—maybe he’s still miserable, or maybe he’s wildly successful and happy? I think Charlotte should run into Trey—perhaps their families run into each other on vacation on Nantucket? Maybe they both have girls at sailing camp on the Cape and they become good friends? I think Miranda should realize she’s always been in love with Carrie—and she secretly sees herself as the Alpha over the mess that Carrie has always been…but realizes that Carrie has actually grown as a person over the decades while Miranda has regressed.
There's a series on Prime right now starring Ron Livingston called Loudermilk. I call it Berger All Grown Up. He's a writer and a recovering alcoholic. I think they should have Livingston come on AJLT as this character. To the rest of your post, that's going to be a no from me.
I watched Loudermilk when it initially aired and I thought it was a very fun and touching series. I love a show with an ensemble cast and this series fit the bill: a strong and interesting lead character surrounded by a talented and quirky ensemble. I think Berger all grown up would still be in NYC. He might have finally enjoyed commercial success and settled down with someone (perhaps accidentally getting his GF pregnant). He would still be anxious and searching for something more and whining about it. But he would have moments of being a fun, charming guy...the person he was decades ago and wishes he could still be. ICYMI: IRL, Charlotte's rich kids would absolutely go to sailing camp on the Cape. It's a thing...I know people IRL who did that. It would make sense for her kids to run into Trey's kids there...because sailing camp is a thing for those people.
