That's different. Iran gets $300B for reparations AND unfrozen assets (probably +interest). We were told Trump was a deal maker playing 4d chess. This is pure surrender.

Again - get a grip and educate yourself.  The $300 billion is a reconstruction fund made up of private investors and companies from the Gulf countries and elsewhere around the world.  The U.S. isn't paying Iran one cent.  And Iran *only* has access to the fund if they comply with the rest of the agreement, to include no longer pursuing a nuclear weapon.

Nobody trusts anything coming from Trump and his cronies so their assurances about the sourcing of the $300B is probably BS. Given the way Iran has been dogwalking Trump, not holding out too much hope that the final agreement will be any better. Iran still holds all the cards and Trump and his RE agent "negotiators" are out of their depth.

The US did not achieve a single one of the goals it stated were the reason for the war.  All of our GCC allies no longer trust our security guarantee and will be looking elsewhere, likely china.  The Iranians have come out of this with no more sanctions, release of $100B or so of frozen funds, $300B in investments, and permanent control of the SOH.  There’s no way to spin this as anything but a disaster for the US.[/quote]

No you can’t. “Cut your losses” would have been with the previous poster said. Trump could’ve just said “I’m done peace out” But no! instead we’re GIVING them money AND removing the sanctions.

Sanctions don’t work, the ruling political elites become black market traders and accumulate wealth while the regular citizens suffer.

Handing Iran billions so they can better afford to keep those kids from organizing definitely isn't helping them.

Before this war the government of Iran was facing massive protests.  We come in and kill a bunch of civilians and install even more hardliners in their government and have set those protesters back likely decades.

We 100% have made things worse for anyone in Iran who was pushing for reform.[/quote]
