They tried that by changing how a constitutional amendment is passed. They wanted a 60% majority instead of 50%. That supports polls that have consistently had reproductive rights at 58%. If polls had said 60% in favor, I’m sure they would have pushed for a 2/3’s majority. Voters saw through that. 
I used to think republicans were just paying lip service to the whack jobs, but they have really pulled out all the stops to keep women in their place in Ohio. They’ve changed the verbiage on the ballot ( from the actual proposed law) to try and trick some people. They really really hate women and have some very concerning hang up regarding sex. At least that’s my take away from the posts I’ve read on NEXTDOOR.

Correct. The republicans at state level are trying everything they can. I’m at a peaceful place with it now. I have true hope and optimism. I believe women’s rights to reproductive healthcare will be enshrined in November here is Ohio. [/quote]
