The pro-killing women and babies party is at it again! Three maternity wards in Alabama slated to close meaning more women and babies - actual born ones, wanted babies that women have grown with their own bodies - are going to die. Chances of forced birthers caring? 0%. https://www.nbcnews.com/health/womens-health/3-hospitals-closing-maternity-labor-delivery-units-alabama-rcna111374
Ugh. Why are Republicans so freaking awful?
Because women aren’t people to them, and nothing matters to most people who vote Republican until it personally affects them. Half the horrifying stories on this thread that are the explicit result of forced birther policies that deny women their humanity have happened to the people who have voted for forced birther policies. Now that they’ve personally experienced the other side of the coin they feel differently and regret their votes for forced birthers, but it wasn’t until it happened to them that they were able to get it. And for as much as the GOP is obsessed with trans people for allegedly all being rapists and women’s gold medal thieves, they don’t care at all about women’s lives. Pregnant with kids you don’t want? Your fault. Dying from a pregnancy you did want because obstetricians no longer want to practice where their hands are tied? Your fault. Doesn’t matter. You’re a woman, die from it. Pharmacist won’t fill your birth control prescription? Your fault. Don’t have sex. STI from your husband straying because you won’t have sex? Your fault. If at any point Republicans want to recognize the humanity of women, we wouldn’t be in this idiotic mess.
