They made informed, reasonable decisions based on the info we had and resources available. You think we have staffing issues now? Imagine if you forced teachers in last fall before the vaccine and as numbers were skyrocketing.

Our schools (local, not state) didn’t just say F it and send kids back in.

I voted D like I always do but your attitude is exactly why the Rs won and I’ve been saying that. 
I also remember that Northam allowed schools to open hybrid in August 2020 and Fairfax had some of the best corona numbers in the state - not the worst - such that we should have considered being more conservative than he allowed with school reopening. Exactly! As far as the Covid response at least, Northam was more pragmatic than NoVA. So much hubris in the Dem party. We’ll see similar in the GOP here. I swear the Dems have become the party of ignoring people. I thought TMac would win by a thin margin. Ds keep thinking they have a mandate from the people to do x, y, z on their list of campaign promises when they get elected but that hasn’t really been the case, The people want something more balanced than what either party is offering. If the Ds would listen to something other than what’s inside their own heads, they’d realize this. [/quote]

It's like suddenly people forgot that ACPS had zero students in person and then had to have their hand forced by the governor. I think we had 6 severely disabled students in person at one point before even they got sent back to virtual. [/quote]
