Hindsight is 20/20.
I know, right? I mean who could have possibly guessed what would happen to Prince given his extensive drug abuse? Or Elvis? Or Joplin? Or Michael Jackson? Or Whitney? Or Hendrix? I mean, it is all just SO unpredictable, right??!
Exactly. Amazing how we're all so surprised.
Could you all start your own thread based on your Prince/drug connection so that those of us who are truly mourning him can commiserate and not get sidetracked by those promulgating tabloid fodder as absolute fact? This revisionist rant above reads like a "which one of these things isn't like the other???" Remind me of the Janet Jackson like interventions that went on for Prince, or anything like Whitney's drug addled public appearances? Many of us life long fans are deeply mourning, and those who followed his career and personal life would be shocked if these allegations are true. But that isn't the point of RIP Prince, and out of respect for us, I truly ask you to move along. It isn't productive, and at least one of you clearly has an agenda based on their own personal pain with their sister's addiction. Quite a lot of projection going on here and using Prince as a proxy. If it comes out he did have an addiction, I certainly wouldn't be a denier. But right now is the time to mourn his loss and celebrate his amazing contribution to all our lives. I would appreciate it if you would honor that. Push (I push) don't U let them pull U down Yeah, push (I push ) until U get 2 higher ground Hey, push - U're never 2 young, U're never 2 old Yeah push - don't stop until U go Did U ever stop 2 wonder Why U put another down? No man should asunder The joy that another man found Maybe U thought the business U was worried Wasn't ever filed in your name Maybe the cartridge U was playin' Don't fit in your video game
