I'll spend time on what I see fit, and I have no interest in resembling your 10-year old (I think you were supposed to consult him or her on your math issue - what is greater, 25 thousand or a hundred thousand?). A ridiculous post is fair game for mocking, and I mocked it. I will continue this policy.[/quote

Someone called you provincial for your weird attachment to the Pakistani theory and your stubborn belief that knowledge doesn't travel. I have to agree.

I am glad your child is bright (I hope he didn't inherit your name-calling habit, or that he doesn't automatically call his classmates evangelical crusaders when they take the last crayon). You should ask him to tutor you in maths.

On second thought, though, feel free not to bring him up any more.  He's not really a part of this discussion.   Not in front of the children, you know.
