This is just further proof that these people never had any real principles—political, ethical, moral or religious.  The poorly educated among them are like cult members, unable to reason.  The well educated are just opportunists, changing their stance whenever it suits them.  I didn’t agree with the Cheney, Bush, Rumsfeld, etc., but I know they truly believed in things.  They cared about the wrong things but they cared.  The Republicans today are a disgrace.[/quote]

Can you please stop calling people who voted for Trump names?  You are playing into the stereotype of the lecturing, holier than tho Dem that voters disliked.  People who voted for Trump bc they wanted change to the system are not stupid.  It is just very unfortunate that:

1) Trump lied [b]Trump always lies and lied about this repeatedly. We were told that we were hysterial libs and to sit down[/b]
2) the media fails to explicitly point out the lies (headlines should be reading “Trump starts an unauthorized, illegal war that he says will kill Americans” [b]the media is owned by the oligarchs now, so you should be expecting more propaganda. We told you that when Trump said "the fake news media" he was undermining out 4th estate, and you told us we were being brainwashed hystrionic liberals[/b]
3) Republican elected  officials blindly sypport him bc they care more about tax and govt spending cuts than humans [b]true, and we told you that and you voted for him anyway[/b]
4) the Dem party allowed Biden to run instead of pushing for an open primary to source and vet a candidate who would have had the time (and distance to either explain or denounce Biden policies) to campaign effectively against Trump. [b]Biden couldn't afford to be seen as a lame duck at that juncture either at home or abroad. that said, there was nothing wrong with Harris as a candidate other than the BS the oligarch owned platforms spewed about her. She is a woman and of color, so the racists and misogynists in the US preferred the convicted felon over her. Own it.[/b]

Trump and Biden types would never have a chance of becoming POTUS in a political system that wasn't dysfunctional and controlled by the influence of money because they could never win a major party nomination in a fair and functional system in a country of 340 million people.
