This seems like a false flag. Why would you shoot up a school and stay at a local hotel. Providence is small.
One of the reasons Rhode Island used to be a hot bed of auto theft was the ability to be outside state lines in any direction within an hour I don’t know what it’s like today with things like GPS and Onstar but the simplest thing to do would be to jump into your vehicle and hit 95 within a few minutes I didn’t go to Brown but I was a lawyer in Providence on Dyer St. for about ten years and lived next to campus. The only hotel I even remember was the Marriott downtown
You have been gone a very long time. Providence is filled with luxury hotels now.
You are correct, I was there in the 90s. That whole mall complex that’s there today was still a giant abandoned factory building called the Foundry. I used to have to go there maybe once a week. Nice to hear it has been so revitalized since then. The law firm I worked at doesn’t exist anymore, either. Neither here nor there, I guess, it’s just got me remembering the area in general. Felt like very short distances to everything and I remember the thing about “everyone knowing everyone else” being very true. Very sorry for those families of those students who will never again have holidays that are the same.
Providence is very nice nowadays. College Hill is an incredibly safe area. Quiet, pretty, no crime on this side of the river. Near the train station on the other side you get some junkies but police confine it to that one park. My cousin in police force said the mafia kept/keeps all of the crime across the river.
