The science of biology shows us that there have long existed many different types of gender in the natural world. Some animals can actually change their gender (including the much loved butterfly species), some species (including humans) recognize a third gender, some are able to be multiple genders at the same time, some humans are born with ambiguous gender and can choose. 
Since we don’t know the specific situation here, I think it best to let it go. It had nothing to do with the victims. [/quote]
