More likely they got engaged weeks ago and then met with their PR team to discuss how best to capitalize on it and then planned Taylor's appearance on the Kelce's podcast to build up to this announcement, which will then boost interest in Travis's first game of the season (additional viewers tuning in just to see Taylor, catch a glimpse of the ring, check out dynamics in the box now that Taylor is a fiancé instead of a girlfriend) which will then ramp up interest in Taylor's album release in October. It's all too perfect not to have been planned.

I think you are wrong. If the limited info we have so far is correct, he proposed after the podcast. Waiting 2 weeks seems like a pretty standard amount of time for something like this - enough time to celebrate in private, but making the announcement before it leaks. Until she was on the podcast, they had all but disappeared from public eye for several months. No matter when they got engaged, people would have thought it was for PR. If this had happened during the months we hardly saw them, people would have said they only did it because they weren’t getting enough attention lately.

I can see why it seems suspicious leading right into the album release and football season, but it also makes sense that they would want it to happen before all of that is in full swing. And that they spent their slower months growing their relationship and discussing marriage. [/quote]
