Hilgartner is actively being spoken to. Don't know why he would take a step backward for GP in IAC from MIAA. He's also very busy with outside projects like NHSLS which he'd have to give up or be allowed to pursue and that's not the GP way. 
Rosner - he's about 4 years removed from being a NL 3rd grade coach. He's not very good. 
Ball and Page - A hire like this moves GP towards their goal of leaving the IAC and joining the ranks of the academies. The IAC is almost gone so these are more likely. Another choice would be a college assistant to follow in the NE academy way. They go after those types to provide stability and a career. [/quote]

Word is McDonogh is making a major push to deemphasize athletics across the board and won't be giving out the scholarships the way school has been operating for the past decade. I have heard Hilgartner wants out of McDonogh and is looking around.

Rosner has been at Taft for 2 seasons now and the program is not nearly as good at it once was under Nic Bell era. Unless he has ties to the area, I don't know if he is the right answer for Prep.

Ball at Loomis has done an excellent job in his 4 years there.  Not sure why he'd be interested in the GP job as Loomis has 10x the money as Prep. The New England West in my eyes is a better lacrosse conference than the IAC and maybe even better than the MIAA A division. Its an incredible deep conference with each school offering mega endowments and resources to recruit nationally. As someone pointed out, the IAC is really starting to fade as an athletic conference. While Landon, GP and Bullis will remain very good, the rest of the league is becoming a joke on the lacrosse stage.

Dave Page from the Hill School is also an interesting canididate but again he hasn't really moved the needle at Hill School since he has been there.

I have to believe GP will go after some local coaches: the head Coach at Good Counsel, Dane Smith has done a great job. Even the Head Coach at Landon, McGettigan, is an Episcopal Alum, he doesn't have deep ties to Landon. Boh Mitchell from the Heights School has made the Cavs rather competitive for a tiny school which has rather limited resources. Kubick at Landon, who is a GP alum, is also another attractive candidate too.

I doubt GP would seriously bring back Giblin as it would be very shortsighted and really be an attempt to appease the alums from the 80's and 90's who have been pushing to bring him back for nearly a decade now.
