Actual police had at least two chances to stop this guy with probably cause BEFORE he killed anyone, and failed to do so. so, other than harassing people what good are the police?
So you're in favor of police arresting people who haven't committed any crime? On what basis?
He did commit a crime, conspiracy to assassinate elected officials is in fact illegal! Hope this helps!
It would be an attempt, not a conspiracy. A conspiracy requires an agreement with another person.
Well, let’s see if he received any assistance here.
It would depend on the nature of the assistance. A conspiracy would require that they agreed to murder the victims ahead of time. If she provided assistance after the crime, not knowing he intended to kill them until it had happened, there’s no conspiracy. At this point there’s zero evidence that she knew in advance what he was going to do, let alone that they conspired.
The wife driving around with lots of cash and passports seems to indicate that she was at least an accessory after the fact.
An accessory after the fact is not a conspirator.
