It’s the United Stated darkest era that we’ve entered into. (1)Half the people don’t care, of course. But it’s bad. The rug has been pulled out from all of us and most are too ignorant to notice, or won’t put down their social media apps to really research and figure out the truth and the propaganda aimed at manipulating how they think. And the right has hijacked every single notion about the United States. We are unrecognizable to the world. The economy is tanking. Job losses. AI taking over. An autistic, narcissist has taken over the government without repercussion. It’s also too expensive to live unless you are a millionaire or billionaire and all of those people couldn’t give a rats ass about the rest of us. (2jHow nice it must be to not care, eh? To live in those gilded cages (and underground bunkers btw) while everything else suffers. Unless a miracle happens, the United States and any ethics, morality, diplomacy, is gone. But that’s the the maga way, isn’t it. (3)Blind everyone into stupidity. Push the hate narrative. The fake narrative. Push the Propaganda 101 of repeating narratives non-stop, even though they aren’t true, every though they hurt us all, because in the end people start believing them and questioning anything else but that. We’ve been check-mated. The right is complicit. SCOTUS is of no use and on maga’s side. We are never coming back from this. So buckle up America. Or prove me wrong.
1. it’s way more than half. If you need proof look at how the UHC murder caused a majority on both sides of the political spectrum to agree. 2. Hun. This is literally what those of us i. The bottom 90% of the income distribution scale have been saying for a gpod decade or two. It must be nice to ACTUALLY be making economic gains and having the luxury to prioritize making sure trans kids can play in the sports teams they want, or being able to protest for open borders and not worry about public services being stretched, or being more concerned with how other countries view us instead of actually trying to take care of our own here (and yes, Republicans are shit about this, but at least they’re honest about not caring about welfare… Dems just make empty promises) 3. I see the hate on both sides, from the supposed “white majority” wanting to perpetuate their “advantages”, to the absolutr hate and disdain for white cispeople/anyone not considered “oppressed” by sexuality/gender/race standards that Democrats want to use as a lense to view every single issue through. The one thing you’re right about, OP—is that shit is horrible enough and depressing enough that IDGAF. I supported Obama, voted for Hilary, Voted for Biden, and then recently voted for Trump. “Burning it all down” by voting for someone who does not fit the mold of your regular politician will give us more of a chance than electing someone chosen by elites to perpetuate the status quo. And as much as people like yourself want to blame any number of things (racism, Republican lies, xenophobia, global trends against incumbents, etc..) the only people to blame, are those who have taken turns going in-and-out of power for the past half a century. Thinking the general population won’t get fed up to the point where someone like Trump can win multiple times, despite all the attacks on him. And you know what, I could absolutely be wrong. Maybe he’s the literal anti-Christ and has us ALLL fooled. But voting for him was still, at this point—a worthwhile gamble because the status quo is so awful.
No gamble is worth losing the civil liberties and freedoms we take for granted in the US, Hun. Nazis have the freedom of speech to march down my f'ing street but now countless organizations have been threatened with no funding so they are now removing WORDS--banned WORDS--from their websites?
