The new list of FAQs looks like not even a high schooler wrote it. https://www.opm.gov/fork/faq Am i allowed to get a second job during the deferred resignation Period Absolutely! We encourage you to find a job in the private sector as soon as you would like to do so. The way to greater American prosperity is encouraging people to move from lower productivity jobs in the public sector to higher productivity jobs in the private sector. Can i Take an extended vacation while on administrative leave You are most welcome stay at home and relax or to travel to your dream destination. Whatever you would like. And my favorite one is Will I really get my full pay and benefits during the entire period through September 30, even if I get a second job?
I hope everyone from a federal regulatory agency goes to work directly for the companies they regulate, continues to collect money from the feds, and then sues the sh*t out of the federal government based on this email. Let the FDA people work for the pharmaceutical companies, the EPA people work for DuPont, the HHS people work for United...
Yeah and I bet those jobs require in office 5 days a week.
No lawyer works 5 days a week in the office anymore.
+1. Trump’s RTO 5 days a week and bashing of feds is just red meat he sends to his very low info supporters while he screws them and grifts. I am a lawyer for a nationwide firm with large office in DC and work a lot from home. We are encouraged to go 3 days a week but actual people go when they can/need/want. I work with teams that are in NY and LA a lot, and two partners in DC who work from home most of the time so spending time in front or my computer in my home office or in my downtown office does not make any difference. The firm cares that i bill a lot of time, where they could not care less
So? You are not a government worker, you work for private industry. No one gives two f's about your daily life, they do care about how their tax dollars are utilized in paying government workers to sit on their asses at home, or at the gym, or at Costco doing personal errands ... all while on the taxpayer's dime. Regular people are sick of this crap. Go back to your elite lawyer life.
