I should have specified it was the military vaccine mandate.
Yes yes yes yes! I am so happy for this. It doesn't even affect me or my family, but this should have NEVER happened. And they have the nerve to call Trump "hilter."
You MAGA are mentally ill
Because Biden forced them to take the worthless COVID vaccine or else lose their job? Or did you forget? Oh wait - remember when you couldn't go into a restaurant without 'showing your papers'? Hmm. What does that sounds like?
What restaurant forced you to show papers? I ate out all the time once restaurants opened back up that first summer. Where were you eating?
I was living in Minneapolis. This was enacted in Jan 2022 in my city. If I wanted to eat at a restaurant in Minneapolis, I had to show my vaccine card. Additionally, if I wanted to attend a play in Minneapolis, I had to show it. This didn't last long but they DID do this. Blue cities all around the USA were doing this including DC! Where were you??? Just ONE example: https://mndaily.com/270586/city/university-area-restaurant-owners-react-to-minneapolis-vaccine-mandate/ SHOW. YOUR. PAPERS.
Yawn. You're such a drama queen. How many people died because some venues asked for vaccine cards during the midst of a pandemic? None. Public health precautions like social distancing and vaccinations saved anywhere between 800,000 (per CU Boulder study) and 3 million American lives (per Commonwealth Fund study). What do you have? How many lives did you save by being a hysterical nutjob over vaccination cards? Zero.
And how many lives did this save by showing a vaccine card to eat at a restaurant? I'll tell you: NONE. Yeah, all those stupid precautions saved so many lives. Why weren't we staying 6 feet apart during flu season every year prior then? If that worked so well, why did it magically become a thing in 2020? The vaccine did not prevent transmission, so what was the whole point of this? Coercion to get that stupid vaccine. It did nothing.
The vaccine reduced transmission. A lot. Before the vaccine: The ER in Jersey City was using refrigerated trailers as auxiliary morgue capacity. Doctors were literally picking and choosing who got to live and who died. You are an otherwise healthy 40 year old man with 2 kids, you get a ventilator, lets hope you recover quickly so we can give the ventilator to someone else. You are a 70 year old overweight smoker with athsma... we can try to make you comfortable but we can't give you a bed or let you go home. So you're probably going to die on a gurney in a hallway because we can't give you a ventilator. After the vaccine: People still getting sick but the hospital can handle the traffic and everyone gets a ventilator except during the first few spikes and because the vaccine made the symptoms milder many patients never needed a ventilator. Death rate plummeted.
