Appearing together, getting photographed together when people are celebrities doesn't make them friends. Going to their home, having dinners, going out etc. etc. does make them friends. [/quote]
Having dinner with people do not necessarily make them friends. It can be acquaintances, business associates, political supporters, political donors, guests of mutual friends at a dinner or event, etc.  I am sure in your lifetime you’ve broken bread with people who are in your social or business circle, yet you would not call those people your friend. You know them or know of them. I can’t believe one has to explain that to presumably otherwise intelligent adults. [/quote]
