The child is five now. Likely some shared custody might be in the best interest of the child. For the sake of the child, being ripped away from your family to stay with people you don't know at 5 would be quite traumatic.
j You can’t just go around stealing other people’s babies.
The Mast's adoption, guardianship, and custody have all been voided now. She will go to her family in Texas, after the hearing.
She should have immediately been returned to her family. There is no need for further hearings given the delays to date.
+1 the court system dragged this on. They are the ones who are causing harm to the child.
But Mast surely has to be the cause of delay. He refuses to concede, he's a lawyer and has likely done everything possible to fight & delay. A disgrace of a human being. Regardless of his silly for show dress uniform that he apparently wears to court proceedings.
+1 He should be thrown in prison for kidnapping. That should have happened the day he kidnapped her out of her family's arms. The wife should get prison time too!
+1. He should be dishonorably discharged and arrested.
Absolutely. The DoD and State Department specifically and explicitly told him not to pursue the matter and he did anyways. When the child arrived in the US and he took possession of the baby, he should have been arrested and courtmartialed. How do we really have military personnel who continue to serve after directly violating instructions from the DoD and State Department regarding international affairs. And bringing a child across international borders to kidnap them, most definitely concern international affairs and a violation of international law.
