There's no end of reputable studies showing conservatives are happier than liberals. I am surrounded by increasingly middle aged single women in a big urban city and I can attest it is not an outcome most wanted. OP is sensationalist and the Atlantic hasn't been a reputable or honest entity in a while, it's very much cherry picking to preach to the progressive choir.

That the unhappiest people in society are the most progressive is not surprising to me because they are also the most in denial about basic biology and truth itself - such as the concept of trans, for example.
