I am skeptical when a parent is really running the show. HUGE red flag. Agree u definitely do not need to travel out of the area for your MS athlete to prepare for HS, but this model of a parent trying to run the team under the YJ brand is not the holy grail to success. What happens when the parents cannot control the coaches? STAY AWAY. [/quote]

Another YJMA parent here and I don’t know what you mean about a parent running the show. There is a strong YJ organization in LI and growing in this area who run the club, we’ve had great coaches so far who are entirely in charge of how we play in practices and games. We also have some parents who help organize events, snack sign ups, and logistics. How is this different from other clubs or teams? It’s been working for us so far and we’ve had a fantastic experience this year.[/quote]
