It’s like emptying your change into the tip jar.[/quote] It's what I do. a dollar for take out, or someone giving me pastries, coffee, prepared food - i consider it packaging service fee. I tip 20% as a general rule for sit down meal service or a spa. If I get particularly amazing experience with a meal or a spa service I'd tip up to 25%, but never more. If I get mediocre service, I may lower my usual 20% to 18% or even 15%. I care less what "standard" is, and all this tip prompt extravaganza on every app is a thing to be ignored.
