They are the first ones to call people transphobes, bigots, fascists, and Nazis, for disagreeing with their ideology.  They are the first ones to get violent and loud at events where women with contrary viewpoints speak.

Trans people existed way before the current spate of woke trans activists showed up on the scene. They were tolerated then.  What's different now? Demanding that people affirm their identity and not misgender or dead name them goes way beyond tolerance. Asserting a right to access and occupy women's spaces goes way beyond tolerance. 
But you already knew that but it is easier for you to cast dispersion on those who disagree with you than to argue on merits.

The violence against trans people in the US is dwarfed in both proportion and actual amount by violence against other marginalized groups, yet those groups don’t scream “genocide” the minute they encounter mild disagreement. [/quote]

Pick almost any marginalized group in the US and the statement will be true. But to give specific examples: Native Americans. Women, particularly POC women and women in poverty. Black Americans. The rates of violence against those groups far, far exceed anything experienced by the trans community. [/quote]

It is entirely true. The only way your original statement even approaches reality is if you take the position that domestic violence doesn’t count as violence. Is that your position?
