Religious people have al sorts of misconceptions about atheists and dislike/hatred toward atheists, and until recently, it was acceptable to state such things openly.   Now atheists are more likely to speak for themselves, and to speak out about their own attitudes about religion.   Some religious people don't seem to able to handle it, trying to quiet the nonbelievers.

Those days are over -- at least online.

It sort of reminds me of how men sometimes still treat women, or how white people treat and think about people of other races.
