You are right - there are a ton of mediocre teachers (and only a few excellent ones) and that needs to change. From my vantage, the problem isn't MCPS but people like you. I went to MCPS 30+ years ago and my kids are doing way better than anyone I knew back then. This is because you only get out of it what you are willing to put into it. These people complaining also refuse to make any real effort and expect the county to do everything for them. That was never true in the past and is still true today.[/quote]
