I feel sorry for this Jim Baker guy. How does one guy keep getting wrapped up in all these RW conspiracies?
Because it’s a lot easier to sell your followers on conspiracy theories when you have a consistent boogeyman. It’s like all of the ridiculous conspiracy theories about the Clintons. Most of them would get no traction if they were about anyone else, but the right has built the Clintons up into these mythic figures that RWNJs are eager to believe the worst about so it’s an easy sell. Now they’re doing the same thing with Jim Baker, but it doesn’t translate as well outside of true RWNJ circles because many Americans barely remember who Jim Baker is, if they ever knew of him in the first place.
LOL. Nice try. The more you folks claim this is a "conspiracy theory," the more we know that the smoke is real. And, Jim Baker deserves all the scrutiny he is getting.
DP. Speaking as a lawyer, I feel sorry for him. By doing his job, he's had his career spun sideways, again. Lawyers are conservative people by nature, not partisan or crackpots, want no part of any of this nonsense.
I don't know what his politics are, but everything from his career history suggests he is a conservative Bush-type republican. Multiple DOJ jobs helping develop the security state. Worked at the R Street Institute. Couple stints in-house at big corporations.
For some reason, Bush conservatives seam to really bear the brunt of the wrath from Q. Faucci aside (who even knows what his politics were pre-Trump), it seems like the career DoJ and FBI officials are the ones who get blamed for whatever the conspiracy of the day is
