I'm just assuming at this point that Manchin is going to switch parties or go independent in 2022. He done did Biden, Schumer and the Progressives dirty. Hopefully the Dems will stop shoveling money at rural areas. I am tired of subsidizing the red states. I am tired of bailing out the red states. I am tired of being told that we need to spend billions on roads in WV, the electrical grid in Texas, broadband in the Dakotas, natural disasters in KY, and basic education in the South and then told that we can't afford anything for natural disasters in NY or childcare in urban areas. We need cost of living adjustments on all federal aid.
You are buying the crap that Biden, et al, are selling. Manchin was crystal clear with Schumer - months ago - about what he would accept. The Democrats didn't negotiate in good faith. It was doomed to fail.
+1 I think it was the constant accounting tricks that did it for Manchin in the end. It’s just not good faith to reduce a permanent program into 1 year and claim that it’s funded. Outrageous.
