Grew up as a poor minority (FARM) but was tracked in school starting at 3rd grade with G and T in a mediocre school district. Parents immigrated here and didn’t know anything about SAT, college admissions, etc.. I walked in blind taking the SAT. No prep, no practice test questions, nothing. Baseline score high 1200’s.
