Why does SR think that they run APS? The fact that outdoor lunch and testing is here is amazing! But you won’t be happy until your entire agenda is fulfilled. Real life doesn’t work that way.
And APE won't be happy until everyone gets Covid and they run APS into the ground, drive out even more teachers and get their vouchers for private school.
This is the definition of an ad hominem attack. This right here is why I can’t take you seriously. SR, you need better spokespeople. You’ve become an echo chamber and the only people listening to you now are your supporters.
I’m sure you made that same comment to the poster above calling people “stupid”. Right?
DP. You do realize though that calling someone stupid is totally different than telling someone who is content with the mitigation plan that they're going to get COVID and destroy APS. WTH? Mitigation is a thing in Arlington County. Vaccine mandates for staff/volunteers, COVID testing, now outdoor lunch at all schools. We might not have the right air cleaners, I don't know, but they are better than nothing. I'd understand the outrage better if we lived in Florida or Texas. I don't like the quarantine async plan, but it's all our damn faults. If we didn't complain so much about concurrent education last Spring, maybe they wouldn't have eliminated it. But I really do think we will be okay. The fear mongering needs to stop.
No, the fear mongering will continue, and from their perspective it needs to be continued. Right now APS is going back to in-person school without fulfilling 100% of SR's demands. When things turn out to be not perfect, but manageable in that environment, they are going to look like panicky fools. Put yourself in ventilation lady's shoes. Consciously or unconsciously, she's got to be concerned right now about what happens when our air filters turn out to be not perfect, but good enough. She's got to be wondering if people are going to think (correctly) that she was just an overwrought crank whose undiagnosed anxiety disorder caused her to stake out a position on an issue she has no background or expertise in. The window to get APS 100% aligned with their goals is closing. If they get APS to comply, when things turn out OK (as they were inevitably going to do) they'll take the credit. They'll say to themselves "no, I'm not a crank. I can leave that ativan script unfilled." But until they get APS to that point, they're going to get shriller and louder until school starts and their window of opportunity closes.
