You know.... it's funny. You want to condemn Ngo for not condemning the Proud Boys or Patriot Prayer. Yet, we have example after example of the main stream media reporters excusing away the violence that occurred during the summer of 2020. They were "mostly peaceful protests," until they weren't. The looters were just seeking reparations. The people burning down businesses were just causing property damage. Nothing to see here......
Your post is just really, really sad. There’s nothing funny about the fact that the Proud Boys and Boogaloo Bois were the ones to commit the violence during all the protests last summer. That’s the whole point of why Ngo is pointless and not a journalist. He is a provocateur. He is part of the criminal class; it serves his purpose and that of all the far right wing lunatics for peaceful protests to turn violent and so they turn them violent. People have posted links upthread with proof. Get it through your head: Ngo is the problem.
Liberal here. PBs and BBs certainly weren’t the only ones who caused violence. I know that they did, and even murdered a cop, but let’s not try to pretend like they did all of it. There’s plenty of blame to go around. Anarchists have always had questionable methods, including violence and destruction.
Here in DC in June of last year, after the Lafayette Square teargassing to clear it for Trump's photo op in front of St. John's, they fenced Lafayette Square off. As some of you remember, the block of 16th north of Lafayette Square was then renamed BLM Plaza and there was a BLM presence there, 24x7. Yet NO BLM violence. They were there maintaining a vigil over all of the pictures and memories and messages about lost black lives that had been posted to the wall. And there was NO violence. None whatsoever, until Proud Boys came to DC for "Million MAGA March," other MAGA events and the 1/6 attack on the Capitol were the only times after June 2020 that DC degenerated into wholesale street violence and property destruction. And not only were the PBs out on DC streets attacking people at random, tearing down and vandalizing the BLM shrine, they also vandalized two historic black churches, tearing signs, banners and placards from them, destroying and burning church property. Proud Boys have been one of the most violent and destructive groups to come to DC.
OMG. This thread is about Andy Ngo and his coverage of violent anarchists at the PORTLAND RIOTS, you utter moron. Why are you bringing up DC at all? Stay on topic.
