Not applying to schools that do not meet need. Workstudy is great, I hope it is awarded as it is the most straight forward path to working in a lab and publishing. We would need to take out loans to meet our expected family contribution, so more loans on top are not acceptable to our family. We were rather shocked by Pitt since the letter just arrived. My understanding is that merit at Pitt was awarded long ago, but they turned around and added it just in case.[/quote]
