Do you mean stone in terms of marble or do you mean rustic stones? I think homes with wainscotting are more apt to have a wood mantle with brick or tile inside. I don't think rustic and wainscotting go together. This is the only picture I could find that's close and you can probably see that the stone looks a bit out of place.
