It's not cluelessness.  I have a boy, many of my friends have boys, all of us are on social media, and I've literally never seen a reference to this on FB, Twitter, or Instagram from people I know. And no one has ever mentioned it to me IRL (like during an actual conversation).  It seems really weird to me.  Not a thing where I am or in my social circles, I guess.        [/quote]

I have both and I've seen it around me.  Parents with grad degrees and UMC.  I get why people use it. Obviously it's rooted in stereotypes but for those families, those stereotypes must be somewhat applicable. But the same can be said for #girlmoms or #momsofboth- we all deal with dynamics that are unique to same sex or opposite sex siblings.[/quote]
