Actually there are - Kate has:

- Two housekeepers (for Anmer Hall)
- One personal dresser
- One hairdresser
- One private secretary
- One housekeeper (Kensington Palace)
- One nanny 
- Two private schoolteachers (for George and Charlotte)
- One gardener (for Anmer Hall)
- Private security of 6+ (One for each of the children and two for the adults)
- Two drivers

In other words it makes it very easy to do 'tasks' when her children are mostly in care all day, someone else is cooking and cleaning for her as well doing the laundry, she doesn't drive herself, and she doesn't even have to prepare her own outfits. I think the real question is why keep all the dead weight around if we're so worried about costs (which we're not of course, unless we're talking about Kate). The obvious solution is to trim the fat and only support the line of succession 5 deep. So, time for Anne, Andrew, Edward, Harry and all the spouses to make their own way.  Why spend $500K on the 6th in lines wife's wardrobe? Or pay for their multi-million dollar renovation of Frogmore Cottage?  But, as I recall, a few days ago the same people complaining about Kate's staff didn't seem too bothered with any of that because Meghan needed to build a wardrobe and we're not tax payers anyway. But I guess today we care about how other countries spend their money. [/quote]
