He laid blame on "both sides" and that's the problem.  It wasn't "both sides" - the counterprotest was peaceful.  It was the white supremacists who engaged in violence.

But that's just one small part of the issue.  There is just NO DEFENDING people who promote Nazi / KKK ideology.    Even without the violence there is no legitimate "both sides" to this.  After our world has seen the horrors of slavery, lynching, the holocaust - the bottom line is that white supremacists are wrong and there is no place for their ideology in the modern world.[/quote]
