Your player needs to be better than average if they want to play D1. It doesn’t matter what team your kid is on if they don’t play that well so work on speed, train on own time and don’t rely on the club or your high school to develop your player. It won’t matter if your player is on M&D Black if they suck at every showcase—no sh*t. The point is it’s unlikely they’ll suck. But if they play like they’re Stars level at every showcase…. Same will be the case if they wear a racist t-shirt or curse out the refs.
