And if the US and Israel succeed in taking out Iran's remaining missile launchers, then what? There is zero sign of the Iranian regime magically disappearing. There is no shadow government in waiting. There is no armed resistance movement in Iran. But there is still an Iranian military that stands 1.1 million strong. Military strikes are not a strategy or political solution by themselves. We have learned this over and over again in Afghanistan, in Libya, in Iraq, in Vietnam. The US military is very good at what it does. But it cannot compensate for the profound stupidity of politicians in Washington.
