That is kind of lame.

Also I don’t believe property values should be part of this discussion because a) values are unpredictable and never guarenteed, and b) on principal not relevant to the BOE whose duty is only to determine how best to educate all children.

However, I sometimes wonder if part of the motivation for east county advocates is belief that they will gain financially covered in socially acceptable rhetoric about racicom and segregation.[/quote]

Property values in East county are high enough, thanks.

I get pleasure at the discomfort some of you feel about your kids going to schools you consider bad, but are comfortable with thousands of other people's kids going to those same schools.

Or maybe we express our discomfort by supporting higher taxes to pay for resources to make all schools better.

Because in the end, kids will attend all the schools. So the best way to make education better for all the kids is to improve all the schools.
