Deaths lagged behind a bit because reporting can be slow and because several states did data "dumps" of deaths classified as COVID from reviews of records over the past several months. That "catchup" reporting seems to be slowing/ending for now. I am having no luck pasting in the image, but check covidtracking on twitter. Relative to peak, in 7-day average terms, cases are down 69%, deaths are down 38%, and hospitalizations are down 48%.
