The problem with the boring white male Democrat archetype is that no-one really wants it. White men don't like Democrats, and Democrats don't like white men. Maybe that's why none of our white men seem to get any traction. Even the few who are doing a good job as Governor seem very forgettable.
Our last elected Democratic president was a white man. He polled better with the Black electorate than Harris (or any of the other candidates). That’s a big reason he won the primaries.
Lol... Biden was elected because mega-donors preferred his loyalty over Warren and Sanders and then because his opponent in the 2020 general election was the weakest and most easily beatable incumbent in modern times.
LOL. That "weakest and most easily beatable incumbent in modern times" got 10 million more votes than ANY previous Presidential candidate in American history. It's just that Joe Biden got even MORE more votes than ANY Presidential candidate in American history. It only took 24 million extra total votes cast and a week of extra counting for Old Joe to eke out the win by a combined 70,000 votes across the three election-deciding swing states. The deciding factor in 2020 wasn't Trump's weakness. No Republican had ever done better. The deciding factor was Biden's immense and unexpected ballot box strength. Sure, many votes for Biden were anti-Trump votes rather than pro-Biden votes. But still. As a ballot box champion, he made Clinton, Obama, Bush, Reagan, LBJ, FDR, etc. look like complete amateurs. Biden 2020 turned out the voters to an extent never before seen.
The deciding factor was the progressives who refused to vote for Kamala because they wanted her to be more outspoken re Gaza. So stupid!! My son was one of them.
Gaza may have been the primary factor in losing one of the swing states but the primary factor in the 2024 election loss was the fact that Harris was the VP of a sitting POTUS with a job approval rating below 40%. Given just three months to campaign, Harris was put in a no-win situation even against a historically weak opponent. Suggesting anything else was the primary factor is counterproductive going forward.
It’s not counterproductive to say that there are sexist men who would not vote for a woman. It’s the truth. At least the Amish men interviewed were truthful. Many men made up reasons why Trump was their choice, not wanting to give the real reason publicly.
Umkay. Let's exclude 50% if the population from our list of viable candidates because clearly the 2024 election had nothing to do with Biden and it was the fault of the "woman". /s. Go away. You are a cancer.
